MUSE run : cornelia ARTS building, open house
Every time I walk past this place, I catch myself staring — that creative-looking building that totally gives “something interesting is happening in there.” So for their Open House, I finally stopped wondering and just went in. And honestly? Such a neighborhood win.
It couldn’t have been a more perfect fall night — unexpected warm air, leaves doing their thing, everyone in a good mood. Inside, the studios were small and personal, almost like stepping into someone’s brain. We wandered through, chatted with a few artists, and picked up a couple stationary pieces and a whole lot of biz cards. But what really stuck with me was realizing there’s this whole creative community thriving right in the middle of a Chicago hood. Quiet, local, super warm.
FIT CHK » Fri evening, 69degress, Cornelia Arts Building open house
And of course… the fit.
WHAT WAS I THINKING » I went back to one of my reliable cheat codes: scrolling my selfie lookbook…cause last minute event and don’t know what I’m wearing. So, it’s the quickest way to remember what I’ve actually enjoyed wearing and what truly works on me. With that nice burst of warm fall weather, the wool check mini immediately felt like the right move..
The mini & all that pattern play felt spot-on for a neighborhood art event, and the flats were clutch for wandering studio floors.
